Singer, Yasko Koko ( Birth name: Yasuko Kousaka) was born at the small village called Yamagata in North Japan, known for vast rice fields and the old, traditional Japanese lifestyle.
As early as sixteen years old Yasko discovered her passion for jazz music. After moving to Tokyo Yasko spent five years performing at various Tokyo music nightspots. Tokyo was followed by New York City, the one place that Yasko needed to learn and experience- the music scene that she long dreamed about-her entire life.
But New York City proved to be too big and too powerful to overcome, which resulted in an extended break from music while she and her husband raised their family in New Jersey- followed by life as a single working mother. When Yasko's two children reached their late teenage years, Yasko resumed her music passion, performing at the local New Jersey venue 'Crossroads', where she currently joins the weekly Jazz Jam Session every Tuesday night. Today Yasko is the lead singer of her band Kokonuts.

John Di Stefano Studied composition at Berklee College Of Music. Has played in the jam band at Trumpets in Montclair, New Jersey for the past 7 years and during that time played with the late great Ted Curson, an experience for which I shall be eternally thankful, as well as other gigs in various venues throughout the tristate area.
